Insulating Glass
Insulite has been fabricating insulating glass for over 20 years. Insulite offers insulating glass unit thicknesses from 7/16” (11mm) to 2” (51mm). A variety of glass combinations of clear, tint, high-performance (pyrolytic and vacuum deposited) reflective and Low-E is available.
Insulite offers a variety of insulating glass make-ups depending on the end use. Insulite
fabricates its insulating glass on two Lisec automated vertical production lines, which
produce the flattest and least distorted insulating glass units possible.
Dual Seal: polyisobutylene (butyl) primary seal; secondary seal of polysulfide for most applications or secondary silicone seal for structural glazing. Silicone must be specified.
Standard Edge Spacer: aluminum continuously bent and mechanically joined along the straight section providing the highest spacer frame integrity with air or argon filled air space.
Warm Edge Spacer: Technoform I-spacer thermoplastic top and 3-side hybrid stainless steel continuously bent and mechanically joined along the straight section providing the highest spacer frame integrity with air or argon filled air space. Warm Edge spacers must be specified.
Desiccant: molecular-sieve formulated for maximum absorption of moisture.
Argon Gas: argon gas filling when required is done in a metered Lisec gas chamber.
