LAMINATED GLASS

Insulite utilizes an advanced infrared heat processing system to manufacture laminated glass. The production line is capable of laminating flat float glass products with thicknesses ranging from 1/8" (2.7mm) to 1/2" (12 mm). The process involves using either a polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer or an inoplast interlayer to achieve the desired laminated composition. This system is designed to accommodate both annealed and heat-treated glass for lamination.

The lamination process involves subjecting the glass and interlayer to controlled heat and rolled pressure at specific speeds to ensure a strong bond. Once the unit is complete, it is transferred to an autoclave, where high pressure and heat are applied to further enhance the bond between the glass and the interlayer (PVB or Inoplast). This results in a finished product of superior quality and durability.

BENEFITS OF LAMINATED GLASS

Reduced Environmental Impact:

Opting for low-emissivity glass can significantly lower heat gain from sunlight, leading to reduced reliance on air conditioning and ultimately contributing to decreased emissions.

Heightened Safety:

Laminated glass offers the advantage of not shattering upon impact, thereby greatly reducing the risk of cuts or injuries from glass shards.

Enhanced Security:

The exceptional strength of laminated glass renders it highly resistant to breakage, presenting a formidable challenge for any unauthorized individuals attempting to gain entry. Even in the rare event of a break, the interlayers fortify the structure, making it extremely difficult to widen the gap.

Minimized Noise Disturbance:

The installation of thick laminated glass disrupts the transmission of noise waves, effectively reducing noise pollution and creating a more tranquil environment.

Protection Against Natural Disasters:

When faced with natural disasters or severe weather conditions, laminated glass remains securely in its frame, minimizing the chances of accidents and providing an added layer of safety.

Expanded Design Options:

Laminated glazing provides a wide array of choices in colors, tints, and tones, while also offering the flexibility to be manufactured in straight or curved forms, allowing for greater versatility in appearance.
