Olathe Kansas

Downtown Library Olathe Kansas

Completed in 2022

The newly opened library in downtown Olathe, Kansas, is a striking architectural gem that defies convention in the Kansas City metro. Standing at the intersection of Santa Fe and Chestnut streets, the four-story structure embraces vertical growth to maximize limited space.

Each floor offers a unique experience: the first floor features a lively café and theater area, while the second floor is a book haven. The third floor seamlessly combines modernity and leisure with spaces for magazines, computers, and an outdoor terrace. The fourth floor is a scholarly retreat dedicated to research pursuits.

Built over 18 months at a cost of $25 million, the library not only symbolizes a commitment to education but also aims to be a catalyst for downtown Olathe's revitalization.
